Über den Autor Barbara Abdeni Massaad

Barbara Abdeni Massaad ist Food-Journalistin, Fernsehmoderatorin, Kochbuchautorin und schreibt regelmäßig Beiträge für internationale Kochzeitschriften. Sie hat mehrere Kochbücher verfasst, darunter Man'oushé: Inside the Lebanese Street Maiser Bakery und Mouneh: Preserving Foods for the Lebanese Pantry, das mit dem Gourmand Cookbook Award und dem International Academy of Gastronomy Award ausgezeichnet wurde. Sie ist Mitgründerin von Slow Food Beirut und aktives Mitglied der internationalen Slow-Rafik Schami wurde 1946 in Damaskus geboren und lebt seit 1971 in Deutschland. 1979 promovierte er im Fach Chemie. Seit 2002 ist Rafik Schami Mitglied der Bayerischen Akademie der schönen Künste. Sein Werk wurde in 30 Sprachen übersetzt und mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, so u.a. mit dem Preis »Gegen das Vergessen - Für Demokratie« (2011) und zuletzt mit dem Großen Preis der Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur sowie dem Preis der Stiftung Bibel und Kultur (2015).
