Über den Autor Emma Viskic

Emma Viskic ist eine preisgekrönte australische Krimiautorin. Ihr von der Kritik gefeierter Debütroman "No Sound - Die Stille des Todes" gewann den Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction 2016 sowie drei Davitt Awards: Bester Roman für Erwachsene, bestes Debüt und den Leser-Preis. Viskic erhielt außerdem den Ned Kelly Preis und den Thunderbolt Award für ihre Kurzfilme. Sie lernte die australische Gebärdensprache (Auslan), um die Figur von Caleb Zelic authentisch zu beschreiben. Der zweite Roman der Caleb-Zelic-Serie, "No Words - Die Sprache der Opfer" folgt unmittelbar auf Band 1. Als klassisch ausgebildete Klarinettistin hat Emmas musikalische Laufbahn von Auftritten mit José Carreras und Dame Kiri Te Kanawa bis hin zum Busking in der Londoner U-Bahn gereicht.
